Hagia Sophia is a symbol of holy wisdom and the first Christian temple. The magnificent buildings, which are not from the same area, are impressive in their size. Mentioned in many stories, the church wrote books, made films, and maintained its holiness as a mosque during the Ottoman rule. It has always been a venerable shrine.
Sultanahmet Square: During the reign of the Eastern Roman Empire, it was used as a hippodrome for equestrian sports, hence it was called the equestrian sports ground. Here is one of the most beautiful sights - the Sultanahmet Mosque, after which the square is named.
On it are historical values that Constantine brought back from Egypt: a vertical obelisk with hieroglyphics, a serpentine column and an obelisk with lined stones. The main feature of the Blue Mosque in this square is its unique architecture with 6 minarets.
The Topkapi Palace was built after the conquest of Istanbul by the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II. For 400 years the palace was the center of the Ottoman Empire, where the most important decisions that shape history were made. To this day the palace houses one of the largest diamonds in the world - "Kashikchi".
For the first time during the reign of Sultan Abdulaziz, parts of the palace were converted into a museum during the visit of the Queen of England and have been used for this purpose ever since. In the exhibition halls of the museum you will find diamonds, emeralds, rubies, diamonds, pearls, gold jewelry, weapons collections from commanders and soldiers of the Ottoman Empire, valuable porcelain sets, watch collections, treasuries and much more.
