Perge Ancient City of Water- Due to its large baths and numerous fountains, is located within the borders of Aksu.
Ancient settlement; Karain has been the capital of the Pamphylia Region where Öküzini caves and Beldibi and Belbaşı rock shelters are located. Therefore, it has managed to preserve its existence for a long time.
The first excavations in the ancient city, which is called "Parha" in the discovered Hittite texts, were initiated in 1946 by Ordinaryus Professor Arif Müfid Mansel.
Many discoveries, the oldest of which are dated to the Early Bronze Age, have been made as a result of these works, which have been taken over by Jale İnan and Haluk Abbasoğlu over the years and are being continued by the Antalya Museum today.
During the excavations, parts of the ancient city such as theater, stadium, agora, South Bath, Pillared Street and Hellenistic Gate were also unearthed.
