Prickly pear
Commonly referred to as "fig", "babusa", "cactus fruit" and "mother-in-law", this plant is fast growing in Antalya, particularly in the Gazipaşa region. Cactus plants are found in nature as thorny. If you dare to pull it off, delicious and tiny stone fruits will appear inside. It requires another skill to peel the prickly pear without thorns, which is very popular with the people of Antalya.
lime
Citrus fruits can be seen very often in the streets of Antalya. Tourists love to try them. Citrus fruits, which have a very acidic taste, are very important as all types of citrus fruits are rich in vitamin C. In addition, the citrus peel becomes a very tasty jam, which is best known among citrus jams.
Pomelo
It is called "Altıntop" by the people of Antalya. Although very similar to grapefruit at first glance, it differs in size and taste. Pomelo can sometimes weigh as much as two and a half pounds. The taste is very different, most people eat pomela because of the sour or even bitter taste. In order to eat the inside of this fruit, the very thick skin must first be peeled off and cut into thin slices, then the very hard skin of the thin slices must be carefully peeled and the seeds removed.
Bergamot
Compared to the Gaadok fruit, the orange "Bergeramot" can make the fruit up to 80 years old. The essential oil extracted from bergamot has a pleasant smell and is sold abroad. Very fragrant jam is made from bergamot peel. Its juice is rich in vitamin C. It gives the tea a different taste.
Zeldali
Zerdali is a small variety of apricots. In some places it is also called wild apricot. It is only famous in Antalya and is therefore called Zerdalilik village. It is said to be very beneficial in hair loss.
Medlar
Although this fruit is often referred to as the "New World" in other regions, it has always been a goji fruit for the people of Antalya. Their food is delicious and their benefits are endless. People over 50 still remember it. In ancient times there was a huge wolf fruit garden in Antalya. When looking at Antalya from above, goji and citrus trees are the most famous trees. Unfortunately, Meydan Kavağı's last large goji berry garden in Antalya has been replaced by concrete buildings.
