Dalaman, Fethiye Dalyan Iztuzu Beach is an exquisite spot of golden yellow sand with curves of about 5 km from the skirt of Radar Hill to the Dalyan Strait where fresh water meets the Mediterranean. The huge ecosystem it contains and all its ecological features make it a distinct value.
Iztuzu Beach is one of the rare beaches in the world located between fresh water and sea water. Iztuzu Beach is used as a breeding ground for Caretta Caretta sea turtles between May and September due to its fine sandy structure. The beach, which is closed between 20:00 and 08:00 in order not to disturb the turtles during this period, is one of the rare beaches that stretch between salt and fresh water. The beach, which can be easily reached by road, can experience instant intensity all day long thanks to the tourist boats coming from places such as Marmaris, Fethiye and Bodrum.
