Dalaman, Fethiye Kaunos Ancient City, located on the outskirts of Çandır Village right across Dalyan, was a port city that had a coast on the Mediterranean in the past and was of great importance. It is known that Caunos was an ancient settlement until the 10th century BC. Over time, the harbor lost its character and was abandoned due to its alluvial filling.
