Metaverse is brought into the real world through intelligent contact lenses
CES 2022 lags behind, but the fun tech devices featured at the event didn't stop counting. Virtual reality contact lenses developed by InWith bring virtual reality right into our eyes. Thanks to these lenses, the virtual world should be combined with the real world.
Contact lenses that we are used to from science fiction films provide real-time information that is very close to reality when placed on people's eyes. Previously, Mojo Vision managed to get a lot of attention with its lenses bringing digital screens to our eyes. But ultimately, InWith's contact lenses at CES 2022 will take the technology one step further.
CIRCUIT CAN BE INSTALLED IN LENSES
InWith has introduced a Softhost lens platform called the "XR Platform" that focuses on the Metaverse. With this introduction, the way circuitry is built into contact lenses has now been cleaned up. The first application of this technology will provide “adjustable vision” and “expanded vision” that can be controlled from mobile devices. The most basic function of the lens is to facilitate the transition between real life and the metaverse.
The company said it would start work in 2020. In 2020, “Flexible Electronic Circuit” technology was exhibited and attracted attention. The technology unveiled at CES 2022 allows designers to embed an image-enhancing imaging chip into any hydrogel soft contact lens.
InWith announced that it is partnering with a Fortune 50 company to develop the technology's first employee sample. The company is the only one that integrates its investment cycles in a modern way and presents them to the public. The technology will enable contact lenses to display virtual worlds and augmented reality, as well as treat people with myopia and presbyopia. The company plans to apply for approval from the US Food and Drug Administration this year.
