Do you need a PCR test on a bus trip?
The incident as to whether the PCR test is mandatory in buses in Turkey will again be in the spotlight from September 6, according to the circular from the Interior Ministry. In the most recent decisions in the context of combating the Covid-19 epidemic, the obligation to carry out a PCR test for non-vaccinated people has been accepted by everyone.
PCR tests are mandatory. While the measures in Turkey were tightened as part of the fight against the worldwide Covid-19 epidemic, the obligation to carry out PCR tests for non-vaccinated people also affected bus trips.
Do you need a PCR test on the bus?
While the controls were intensified, especially in the case of coaches, which are mainly used overland, a negative PCR test was required for those who were not vaccinated. The staff at the station entrances checked first hand the vaccinated or previous illnesses of the people or the PCR test queries carried out up to 48 hours ago via the HES code application.
While AŞTİ and Esenboğa Airport, which are among the most popular bus stations, benefited from these applications, their citizens were very happy with these scans. Passengers who were not vaccinated and therefore had not had a PCR test in the past 48 hours were not allowed to board the bus.
The PCR test is mandatory for air travel and YHT travel
In Istanbul, the passengers who traveled between the cities on July 15th at the Democrat Bus Station were queried and scanned with the HES code before boarding the bus. Unvaccinated and not sick people were asked to submit PCR tests with negative results.
A PCR test application has been requested not only on buses but also on passengers traveling by air. In accordance with the Interior Ministry's circular to the governors of 81 provinces, it has been found that passengers who have not been vaccinated on domestic flights have been requested to have PCR tests. The PCR test has been made mandatory for passengers traveling on buses and airplanes with YHT.
