In addition, there are many shops, markets and kiosks to meet your grocery needs. If you ask where to camp in Kırkpınar, we can say that within the hiking trails there are flat green areas suitable for camping. In addition, these areas are free and far from residential areas.
3 – The Sogucak Plateau
The Soğucak Plateau in Sapanca is one of the most popular campsites in the region. On the way to Soğucak Plateau, you will see the unique view of Sapanca Lake from above and you will come across many trails to explore the surrounding area. You can start the day with a pleasant walk on this plateau, which is a very suitable destination for camping and hiking, and then pitch your tent in the right spot that catches your eye.
There are flat areas on the plateau where you can pitch your tent. But here are a few key points to know before you go camping. The first thing I want to share with you is that the road to the plateau is bumpy and a low chassis bus is not suitable for driving here. On the other hand, the Soğucak Plateau is not a good choice for a caravan and it is logical to bring an off-road vehicle.
If you decide to camp here, be sure to get all your needs from the regional center before heading to the campsite. There are no facilities, toilets and fountains on the plateau. For this reason, we recommend that you bring food and drink with you according to the number of days you plan to stay. On the other hand, hearty views, plenty of fresh air, and tranquility await.
4 – Koru campsite
Koru Camping is another camping in the heart of Sapanca District, so its proximity to the settlement means you can easily meet your needs. This area has large flat areas between poplars that are perfect for camping and caravanning. In addition to services such as picnic tables, toilets and electricity, entrance to the campsite is paid. A peaceful camping holiday awaits you in Sapanca, where you wake up peacefully in the morning.
5 - Masukiye
Another great camping area is in Maşukiye, where you can escape from the chaos of city life and be in touch with nature for a few days. Maşukiye was founded on the edge of Mount Kartepe, a region adjacent to Sapanca. Here you can enjoy a hearty breakfast, go hiking, gather picnic memories or enter the paid campsite to wake up to a peaceful morning in Maşukiye.
6 – The Cigdem Plateau
Imagine being in an environment where you can walk among pine forests, feel dizzy breathing fresh air, and the sounds of birds and flowers will ring in your ears and will relieve all tiredness and exhaustion. You can also camp on a flatCreate an area suitable for pitching a tent.
The central part of the Çiğdem Plateau in the Hendek region, about an hour's drive from Sapanca, has a sweeping lake district and is surrounded by dense pine forests. Highland residences, reflecting the typical architectural features of the Black Sea highlands, usually tend towards the plateau in summer. Before you come here, you can get your groceries and drinks in the nearby village on the Yeni Plateau.
You can use the fountains to meet your water needs. You can pitch your tent on Çiğdem Plateau, where there are also free campsites. Find suitable flat surfaces. Finally, the last kilometers of the road to the plateau are dirt roads. So if your vehicle is not suitable for the road conditions, you can park in Yeni Plateau village and walk out.
7 – Karagol Plateau
The Karagöl Plateau, about 80 kilometers from Sapanca, is located in the Tararakle District. Here the ground is covered with lush green grass, surrounded by pine forests, in the middle there is a deep blue pond. There is a fee to enter the Highlands Region, but as the area is closed we recommend that you meet your dietary requirements before heading into the Highlands.
